Psychedelic Preparation Program · Science × Soul

The work before the work.
Preparation that changes everything.

Most people prepare logistically. Few prepare somatically, psychologically, and relationally. This program addresses all three — with the scientific rigor and ethical grounding the experience deserves.

What you bring in shapes what comes out.

Research consistently shows that set and setting — psychological preparation and environmental context — are the primary determinants of psychedelic experience quality and integration outcomes. This isn't a supplement to the experience. It's the foundation it rests on.

Unprocessed trauma surfaces unpredictably in non-ordinary states. Preparation doesn't prevent this — it builds the capacity to meet it.

Intention clarity correlates directly with integration depth. Vague entry leads to vague outcomes — or overwhelming ones.

Nervous system dysregulation before a ceremony amplifies difficulty during it. Somatic preparation is harm reduction.

Four sessions. A complete preparation arc.

Session 1 — Intake & Mapping

Full personal history, experience history, nervous system baseline, and psychological screening. Understanding where you are — and what this experience may surface — before we discuss where you're going.

Session 2 — Intention Setting

Not "what do I want from this?" — "what does this part of me need?" Somatic intention-setting that goes below the cognitive layer to the place where real change happens.

Session 3 — Somatic Preparation

Breath and body practices for navigating non-ordinary states. Regulation tools, surrender practices, how to work with difficulty during the experience.

Session 4 — Final Clearance & Integration Preparation

Pre-ceremony integration plan, post-ceremony container setup, emergency support protocol, relational and logistical considerations.

  • Preparation journal prompts
  • Education on the mechanisms of action of plant medicines and entheogens — research-based, not popular culture
  • Ceremony logistics guide (PDF)
  • WhatsApp support during the week before the experience
  • One post-ceremony integration check-in call (30 min)

Biochemistry meets ceremony.

I hold a PhD in Organic and Medicinal Chemistry — specifically relevant in the psychedelic space, where pharmacological understanding is as important as psychological preparation. I understand mechanisms of action, what the research actually says, and what it doesn't — not what popular culture has decided it means.

I hold a 12-month Professional Certificate in Integrative Psychedelic Studies (VITAL), specializing in psychedelic-informed practice, harm reduction, and integration — with focused work in chronic pain and expanded states, Jungian depth psychology and archetypal shadow work, dream interpretation, somatic approaches to trauma, and nervous system healing. I have completed specialized training through ICEERS Academy, with an emphasis on safety, ethics, and best practices in non-clinical psychedelic work. I am currently training in Compassionate Inquiry®.

I am trained in breathwork and psychedelic facilitation, and I hold both the theoretical and experiential sides of this spectrum. This means I can prepare you across the full architecture: body, nervous system, psyche, and pharmacology.

I don't facilitate substances. I prepare the person who will take them.

"I thought preparation meant setting an intention on a piece of paper. What Rosa showed me was that I was carrying three decades of unprocessed grief into that space. Working with her beforehand meant the experience had somewhere to go — and I came out of it with my feet on the ground."

— F.M., Therapist, Lisbon

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this mean Rosa is facilitating substances?
No. I am a preparation and integration specialist. I work with the person, not the substance. The experience itself takes place in whatever context you have arranged.
What if I'm on medication?
This is exactly why professional preparation matters. I can advise, but I AM NOT A MEDICAL PRACTITIONER nor a Psychiatrist. Please contact your medical practitioner.
Can I do just one session?
Yes. Single preparation sessions are available at €222. The full 4-session program is recommended for anyone with complex trauma history or who wants a thorough, supported preparation arc.
What traditions or medicines does this apply to?
Preparation applies to any entheogenic or plant medicine experience. The framework adapts to the specific substance, dose, and ceremonial context.
What if my ceremony is cancelled or postponed?
Sessions don't expire. Preparation work is valuable regardless of timing — and often reveals that more preparation is needed before proceeding.

The medicine will meet you wherever you are.

Preparation determines what that meeting looks like.
